I also must spend at least $25 in order for the register to qualify my coupons for doubling. But, since I've been shopping at Rainbow for quite some time now, I know that the $25 is based off of shelf (regular) price, not sale price. So, my "final price" before coupons could actually come to much less than $25 yet my coupons would still double.
I'll explain more about this later, but for now, I'm getting ready for my shopping trip! I don't need much this week since I have quite a stockpile, and in my opinion there aren't a whole lot of great sales to be had this week, either.
Here's what I'm planning to get:
Red Grapes $0.99/lb.
= $0.99 WYB 1 lb.
Cilantro $0.79
= $0.79 (this is not on sale but I need it for tonight's asian pork stir fry)
Boneless Country Style Ribs $1.99/lb.
= depends on the weight of the ribs I buy
2 Aussie Products $2.50 each (use two $1/1 from 6/12 RP)
= $0.50 each after doubled coupons
YoPlus Yogurt 4pk $1.50 (use .50/1 from 6/19 SS)
= $0.50 after doubled coupon
Bestlife Butter Spread $2.00 (use $1/1 IP)
= Free after doubled coupon
Nesquik Chocolate Powder small bag = $0.90 (use .50/1 from 6/5 RP)
= Free after doubled coupon
Roundy's 1% Milk Gallon $2.79 (use free milk coupon from last week's Kellogg's deal)
= Free
I'm estimating my shelf price to be right around $25 after the cost of the ribs is factored in, so my coupons should double. After sale price & coupons my total OOP (out-of-pocket) should come to approximately $3.28 plus the cost of the ribs. I'll update later what it actually comes out to!
***UPDATE***
Here's what I got:
Total retail = $27.85
Total OOP = $7.33 (this is less than the normal cost of the ribs alone!)
Savings: 74%
Question for you -- Do you like to shop at Rainbow or at other stores?
